GPS Station Finder is currently a research app, which helps a mobile user to find the train stations while traveling in Sri Lanka. Currently the app supports only a section of the coastal line from Colombo Fort to Kalutara South.
The app relies on GPS to find the mobile location and calculates the moving direction in order to determine the nearest station ahead. Functionality includes
1. Current speed (Approximate)
2. Next station on the route and distance to next station.
3. Current station if in the vicinity of a station.
4. Voice announce before reaching a station (500m).
Since this is a research app, your feed back is much appreciated to improve the app in the future.
